The durable carriage is crafted from 3" thick pine members and features 3 drawers for your favorite kitchen gadgets and a large enclosed cabinet. Cabinet and center drawer open from either the front or back of the island. Four industrial swivel casters (each with brake) give this island the ability to double as a buffet or serving cart. Custom Kitchen Design We also design kitchens for renovation or new construction. Careful attention is given to work triangles, cabinet sizing, reach heights and appliance selection. Our goal is to design a kitchen that is beautiful both visually and ergonomically. In this example, the homeowner chose cherry cabinets with maple countertops. We elevated the dishwasher 18 inches off the floor, greatly reducing back stress during loading and unloading. The stained glass cabinet doors add a touch of whimsy. We also constructed a built-in breakfast nook, using reclaimed pine with cherry inlay.
